Law and Legal Academic Studies Journal is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal dedicated to advancing research and innovation in law, legal studies, and governance across multidisciplinary contexts.
Law and Legal Academic Studies Journal aims to publish high-quality, original research papers, case studies, and literature reviews that contribute to the development of legal scholarship, good governance, human rights, and the rule of law in Indonesia and globally.
Law and Legal Academic Studies Journal is published three times per year (March, July, and November) by the Institute of Information Technology and Social Science (IITSS), Indonesia. All submitted manuscripts are subject to a rigorous double-blind peer review process.
Law and Legal Academic Studies Journal does not accept research articles or manuscripts submitted or published elsewhere.
The journal also does not publish book reviews, program evaluations, or manuscripts describing personal experiences or non-research-based reports.
All manuscripts submitted must be written in English.
|Peer Review Process|
All manuscripts submitted to Law and Legal Academic Studies Journal are initially screened by the editors for general fit with the journal’s focus, scope, and writing quality. Only manuscripts deemed suitable will proceed to the double-blind peer review stage. Each manuscript is reviewed by at least two independent experts in the relevant field.
Reviewers evaluate based on originality, legal and analytical rigor, clarity, and contribution to the field. Reviewers are expected to submit their reviews within four weeks. If necessary, a third reviewer may be appointed when there is disagreement between the first two reviewers. The final decision—acceptance, revision, or rejection—rests with the Editorial Board.

All manuscripts that are rejected in the initial editorial screening are returned promptly without external review.

Law and Legal Academic Studies Journal utilizes the LOCKSS and PKP PN (Public Knowledge Project Preservation Network) systems to create distributed archiving among participating libraries, ensuring long-term preservation and access for all published issues.
